Windows 7 RC was released last week and so as many software giants are aheading towards to make their babies compatible with it. But so far we have no words from the major software houses. As Google Talk’s latest launch was geared towards to support Window Vista and that works simply fine with Windows 7 RC.
Although some reports are there that you may not be able to uninstall Google Talk on the Windows 7 62bit installations. This problem can easily be tackled with no hassle at all.
Simply you will needed the source to uninstall, as when you will try to uninstall Google Talk from Add/Remove Programs it will prompt you to provide the source. All you have to do is to download Google Talk again and paste it into the respected folder, which can be like this
C:\Users\your-logon-name\AppData\Local\Google\Update\Download\

My google talk freezes when “signing in” IT doesnt do anything at it fails to respond, I have to restart it and then It works for 5 mins and then the same thing happens again. Is this happening to anyone else? Any suggestions on what to do? Thanks in Advance =)

The gtalk on my window 7 seems to be not working properly. Everytime I try to have conversation with my friends the voice indicator for my mic do not show any bar at all and of course my friends can’t hear my voice. I try to check whether my mic and speakers are working and they all seems fine and working properly.

I have Windows 7 Professional-32 bit installed on my pc.
I haven’t been able to sign into gtalk either. It keeps on switching between “Connecting” and “Signing in” for a while and then a message “Cannot connect to Gtalk Service (error 1) appears.

for everyone who have facing the difficulty to install and running Gtalk, please try the following steps. It works on my Windows 7 64-bits Ultimate version.
Download the installation file and save in your choosing location on your computer.
Run the googletalk-setup.exe as windows XP service pack 3 compatibility mode, then installion as follow.
After the installation finished, Run the gtalk as the windows XP service pack 3 compatibility mode again.
It will just works fine as usual.
Note: Compatibility mode can be change using ” right click “on the intention file and choose ” properties ”
Then tick the ” Run the program in compatibility mode for: ” under the compatibility tab and then click the the down arrow.

I was using Gtalk in my Windows 7. When installing another s/w i changed UAC permissions. After that I retained the UAC settings back. But since then my GTALK was not opening. I uninstalled and reinstalled, and even after that its not working.

I have windows 7(64 bit genuine) and i could install g talk, some times its not working properly and it shows gtalk is not responding then i ll close the programm. Then i will reatart the system to open the g talk. Some times it is not responding while chatting.
