Keywords Meta Tag Useless for Google SEO – Says Matt Cutts

Google Webmaster CentralSince ages we kept on focusing of Keywords Meta Tag for better rankings in search engines. But for now this is quite clear that among all the search engine Google give no importance to Keywords Meta Tag.

This was mentioned in the latest video release from Matt Cutts, who is software engineer in Google. He has mentioned that Google doesn’t use Keywords Meta Tag in core ranking process.

Ok What Google did with meta tags was stupid or not ?.I guess not cause the spammers have increased numerously and Google also want there searches to get some original result ,so i guess they did right.

You see people get there sites powered by bots ,which automatically put meta tags in there site according to popularity , they update there blog once a month , so this is a great stuff , i was just reading the meta tags which Google accepts , so we better use them but other meta tags might be good for other search engines like Bing , yahoo etc let see what happens.

Matt Cutts is one of the person working on Search Quality in the leading search engine, Google. To know more about him you can always run a check for him in Google..
